Agathi Michael is an active member of the Cyprus Association of Dietitians and Nutritionists (CyDNA) and registered with the Cyprus Council for the Registration of Scientists / Food Technologists and Dietitians as a Dietitian (CyRBFSTD). She is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Registered Dietitian (RD) and with the Cyprus Society of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (CySPEN) where she attends Continuing Education Courses (LLL).
Agathi Michael holds bachelor degree in Public Health Nutrition, which she acquired from Sheffield Hallam University in the UK back in 2010. A second bachelor degree in BSc Dietetics was also acquired at the University of Nicosia aligned with the University of Hertfordshire in the UK. In 2024 she received a certification in Eating Disorders from KEADD (ΚΕΑΔΔ), and obtained the title of Master Practicioner in Eating Disorders & Obesity, directly from the NCfED and the British Psychological Society.
It is regarded essential for every health professional to remain up to date with the latest research and findings. As a part of the process towards her continuous professional development, she participates in trainings, lectures, seminars and conferences. In the past and through the years, Agathi has contributed with research and lectures at primary schools representing CYDA (The Cyprus Dietetic & Nutrition Association) events.
Since 2014, Agathi Michael has been practicing the profession of Clinical Dietitian privately in Latsia, Nicosia. She provides nutrition and health services in personal appointments at her office privately or through GESY (since 2019) and through home visits (not covered by GESY). Also, services are provided over the Internet, remotely, using common video calling applications.
